New year, new me, they say. Do you think you’ve changed? Do you think you are a new you? Well, I sure do.
“2016: CATERPILLAR. 2017: COCOON. 2018: BUTTERFLY.”
BUTTERFLY:
This is my first post of the new year, and I want to inspire you. I want you to leave your cocoon and turn into the butterfly you are. And I’m not just talking about an insect here; I’m talking about the New Year’s resolution. What are your plans this year? What are your goals? Maybe you don’t have any in mind, yet. Or perhaps you're just not creative. Read some of my plans and goals below. Perhaps they’ll inspire you to do something this year.
I hope to keep up my new blog for as long as possible.
I want to be able to do the splits.
I would like to be able to do the pirouette (ballet move).
I need to get a babysitting job.
And I hope to learn more Greek.
I think in 2016, when I was eleven, I was more of a little kid then I am now. Or, like a caterpillar. Now 2017 was a good year. No doubt about it. The first year to be a teenageer. The first year to be considered “mature.” To me, 2017 was more like a prep year. Like baking, you have to prep before you bake. Or in other words, like a cocoon. And now I guess I’m like a butterfly. Except only right now, my wings are still wet.
Have you become that butterfly? Or are you still a caterpillar? Please, comment below and tell me!
In Ray Bradbury's "A Sound of Thunder" the impact of one butterfly changed the future. You determine the course your life takes...and I believe you are headed in the the direction of success...and maybe greatness. You are a solid writer.
You are courageous, beautiful, and tough as nails under that butterfly-like persona that you've blossomed into today! I can't wait to read your next post.
2018. Year of the Butterfly! I am very proud of you Kait. I see big things in your future!
